Christy has been a certified Physician Assistant since 1997. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University where she then went onto to receive her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant studies from The Chicago Medical School/Finch University of Health Sciences.
Christy has enjoyed working in family practice, occupational medicine and urgent care medicine. In 2010, she, along with Kirsten Crosby, helped to establish Partners in Health of Traverse City.
She is certified in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Kirsten has been a certified Physician Assistant since 1999. Following a Bachelors in Science degree in Biology at Albion College, she received her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant studies at Central Michigan University.
Kirsten joined The Walk In Clinic team in 2003, and enjoys the variety patients and conditions she treats. Kirsten has always had an interest in primary care and along with Christy Alexander helped to establish Partners in Health in 2010.
Kirsten is certified in Basic Life Support for Providers. She is a member of both the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Dr. Angela Pohl is a board-certified physician practicing in Traverse City since 2012. A native of Port Huron, MI, she earned a BA in Health Education with a minor in Nutrition from Northern Michigan University. Those long cold winters sent her packing to medical school in Glendale, Arizona, where she graduated magna cum laude from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009. She spent her two years of clinical rotations traveling the country: from Yuma, Arizona to Rhode Island, from southern Florida to the UP. During an elective rotation she fell in love with Traverse City.
She completed her osteopathic Internal Medicine residency at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, IL from 2009 to 2012. There, she became very involved with hospital ethics committee and the study of bioethics, particularly in its relation to medical education.
Dr. Pohl started working with Indigo Health Partners as a hospitalist at Munson Medical Center in 2012. She served on the Bioethics Resource Committee for two years. In early 2015 she left full-time hospital practice for outpatient primary care.
She joined Partners In Health in December, 2016. She's excited to continue to build relationships in the community and focus on achieving wellness goals. She has a special interest in integrative medicine and nutrition. She's a member of the American College of Osteopathic Internists, the American College of Physicians, and precepts medical students as an adjunct faculty member for Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has been certified in BLS and ACLS.
Krystal has been a certified Physician Assistant since 2008 and is a Certified Diabetes Educator. She received her Bachelors in Science degree from Alma College, and then went on to receive her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant studies at Central Michigan University in 2008.
Krystal has spent 6 years in Gastroenterology, and 3 years at the Endocrinology and Metabolism clinic at Munson Medical Center. She has a strong passion for Diabetes care, and uses her personal experiences with Type 1 Diabetes to help her connect with her patients, and help them find ways to optimize their disease.
She is certified in Basic Life Support for Providers. She is a member of both the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants as well as The American Diabetes Association.
Krystal Auernhamer, PA-C, CDE
Partners in Health is proud to introduce Dr. Mitchell Stuck, DO, our newest primary care physician to join our team. Dr. Stuck earned his undergraduate degree in neuroscience from Central Michigan University and his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, in 2003. He completed his family practice residency at Munson Medical Center in 2006.
As a family practice physician, Dr. Stuck can treat acute conditions and manage chronic diseases, end-of-life and preventative services. He will be your advocate and will ensure you receive the most appropriate screenings and current preventative services. Dr. Stuck also takes special interest in sports medicine and dermatology/skin conditions.
